GRIFFITH NOMINAL ROLLS

 

They list the names and service numbers of those from Griffith and district who served

in the armed conflicts Australia was part of.Each roll has an introduction which explains what it covers.

 

The    following Nominal Rolls are currently available for the public in the Griffith War Memorial Museum:

 

ü  Australian Women’s Land Army (AWLA):  a database of those women who worked in Griffith and district at times between 1942 and 1945. About 1100 names/service records have been compiled

ü  List of Australian Land ArmyWomen who returned to Griffith after WW2

ü  List of Vietnam Veterans  who were Griffith residents at the time of the Vietnam conflict

ü  Presentation of WW1 War Medals at Griffith on 24/4/1921

ü  WW1 Soldier Settlers database: those Service men who came to the Griffith area after WW1. The record contains around 1050 names

ü  Record of the Bagtown Honour Roll: WW1 enlistments,” 95” names mentioned, only 81 shown on the boards

ü  WW1 Enlistments (1914-1918) from the Griffith area: a database containing 138 names/service records

ü  Honour Roll of Griffith WW1 enlistments:those who were killed in action or died of wounds

ü  Nominal/Honour Rolls of Aboriginal enlistments WW1, WW2, Vietnam: those linked to Griffith or surrounding towns/settlements within a radius of 350-400km from Griffith, 180 names/service records  have been recorded
